Watch the moment scrambler bike idiot nearly wipes out family after trying stupid stunt on public road
This is the moment a mother and baby narrowly avoided being hit by an out of control scrambler bike after a stupid stunt goes wrong.
The footage was filmed on a dash cam as the biker drives quickly down Breeze Hill in Bootle, a 30mph zone, close to Queens Drive.
Wearing only shorts and a dark hooded-top, the scrambler biker can be seen attempting to do a wheelie-style move with a foot planted on the saddle, however the stunt went predictably wrong with the bike crashing close to the pedestrian crossing.
The bike then skids along the road, with the scrambler biker tumbling behind it in an embarrassing ball of limbs, and misses the mum and child by a few feet as they make it on to a pedestrian island and relative safety.
After his near miss, the biker, wearing an outfit that would provide no protection for someone skidding across concrete, can be seen hobbling after his bike, jumping back on and riding off like nothing has happened.
Scrambler bikes have long been an issue in Liverpool, with several deaths having been cause by people riding them dangerously on public roads.
Last November, Home Secretary Amber Rudd told senior police officers there will be changes to the pursuit laws officers are currently restricted by, following concerns they are unable to chase thugs riding mopeds and scooters without helmets for fear of prosecution.
If they come into force, the new laws will hopefully give police greater powers to tackle scrambler bike yobs causing misery on the streets of Merseyside.
