Is Maxine Waters What the Democrats Really Represent
There is a lot of crazy political stuff on TV news and social media these days. The out-in-far-left-field anti-Trump Occupy Democrats are the looniest of the loony tunes out there. Their hateful ‘red-meat’ rants on social media repeated on TV news demonstrate a continuing and deepening break from reality right in there solidly with the likes of California Democrat U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, who is publicly advocating the public harassment of anyone connected with the administration of President Donald Trump and people are acting upon her hatred.
Incidents of public harassment are all over TV news and on social media involving Press Secretary Sarah Sanders, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen — that have received the most attention. Sanders and family were asked to leave a restaurant in Virginia, Bondi and boyfriend were screamed at while entering a movie theater in Florida while Nielsen, who was having a work-related dinner at a Mexican restaurant in Washington, was heckled by hateful anti-Trump supporters and forced to leave. The ideology crack in the fabric of American society is coming apart at the seams. These confrontations are an indication or symptom of a seething deep irrational loathing by masses of people against one man – the President of the United States.
“No matter how big a hammer you use, you can’t pound common sense into stupid people,” said a recent Face Book post and this statement is so true. In an interesting development involving blow back from Sanders being asked to leave the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Va., the Red Hen has closed and the owner – Stephanie Wilkinson — has resigned from her leadership of Main Street Lexington, a business group dedicated to downtown urban renewal, according to a USA Today report.
Pro-Trump supporters fought back with peaceful protests of their own out on the street in front of the Red Hen Restaurant. Needless to say generating this type publicity is not good for business and its just plain stupid on the part of this restaurant owner.
“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left,” Sanders tweeted Saturday. “Her actions say far more about her than me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”
To fight fire with fire, U.S. Secret Service protection has been extended to Sanders and family, according to news reports. This protection may have to be further extended to include the president’s cabinet and their families, his advisors and anyone known to be working for Team Trump. With all the crazy people in the world these days — many of them with guns — someone somewhere somehow will stalk and take a shot at someone connected to the Trump administration. Preventative action is required now, not later.
Here’s another example of the Democrats going further left. In Tuesday’s New York primary election for the 14th Congressional District in the Queens and Bronx, 28-year-old Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez scored a stunning upset victory over 10-term incumbent U.S. Rep. Joseph Crowley.
Crowley had been expected to challenge U.S. House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House if the Democrats regained control. He is a mainstream establishment Democrat but his voters turned against him and elected a member of the Democratic Socialists of America who never held an elected office before.
Ocasio-Cortez, a former campaign staffer for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, will most certainly win her upcoming mid-term election on Nov. 6 because the 14th District is heavily Democratic and has been for decades. In this district Republicans are near extinction.
Never one to miss a good political opportunity, President Trump tweeted about Crowley’s loss.
“Wow! Big Trump hater Congressman Joe Crowley, who many expected was going to take Nancy Pelosi’s place, just LOST his primary election. In other words, he’s out! That is a big one that nobody saw happening. Perhaps he should have been nicer, and more respectful, to his President!”
There is something to admire in Ocasio-Cortez. She was just as shocked at her win as Crowley was dazed by his loss. The voters sent Crowley home and brought in a new face — who if elected will become the youngest woman ever elected to the U.S. Congress.
This trend of replacing establishment Democrats with more far-far-left Democrats may very well continue causing eye-popping upsets that show the Democratic Party in a state of revolution. But this movement may be fatal for Democrats who still listen to every word coming from old worn out Democrats like Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi, Elizabeth Warren, Diane Feinstein and Church Schumer who all get further and further to the irrational left hoping to keep up with these emerging Socialist Democrats and their form of globalism without borders.
But come Nov. 6, President Trump and the Republican Party have a booming economy, lower taxes, record low unemployment, a stronger military and the U.S. Supreme Court all squarely in their corner leaving the Democrats without a clue in how to actually win back majorities in the U.S. Congress. All they have in their toy box is anti-Trump babble.
